Editorial standards

How we report, check, correct and label what we publish. Six promises, kept in the open.

our standards

six promises we keep

These standards apply to every article, guide, interview and episode we publish, in English and in Arabic.

How we report

Written or reviewed by people who do the work.

Every article is written or reviewed by a practitioner who works in Gulf search every day. We report what we can verify, say how we know it, and date every piece so you can judge how current it is.

Sources and checks

Primary sources, checked figures, honest gaps.

We link to primary sources: platform announcements, official documentation and original research. Figures are checked before publishing, and anything we could not confirm is described as such.

Corrections

Fixed in the open, with a note.

When we get something wrong, we fix it in the article and add a short note saying what changed and when. Meaningful updates show an Updated date; small typo fixes do not.

Independence and sponsored content

Editorial decisions are ours alone.

No sponsor, partner or advertiser decides what we cover or what we say. Sponsored pieces are always labelled as sponsored, and their links are marked as sponsored for search engines.

AI in our newsroom

A person stands behind every article.

We may use AI tools to help with research or translation, but a person writes, checks and stands behind every article. We never publish pages written only to catch search traffic.

Tell us

Spot something? We want to hear it.

If you find an error, a broken source or something we should look at again, tell us. Every note is read by an editor, and we reply.
