terms and conditions
Last updated: 15 October 2026
These terms govern your use of gulfsearchcentral.com in English and Arabic, including our research, newsletter, events pages and the forms you use to reach us. By using the site you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who we are
Gulf Search Central (“we”, “us”) is an independent research publication on how people search in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC: search engines, AI answers, paid search, content and local discovery. We publish analysis, briefings and practical guides for the people who work in this field.
2. Using our research
Everything on this site, including articles, data, charts, illustrations, our landmark drawings, the 3D scenes and the site’s design, belongs to us or to the people who licensed it to us, and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- You may read, share links to and print our work for your own use and for internal use in your organisation.
- You may quote short extracts, with clear credit to Gulf Search Central and a link to the original page.
- You may cite our charts and data with the same credit, without changing what they show.
Without our written permission you may not republish whole articles, sell or license our work, remove credits, or collect our content in bulk, whether by scraping, automated downloading, or using it to train, fine-tune or ground artificial intelligence models.
3. Research, not advice
We check what we publish carefully and correct mistakes openly, as described in our method. Our work is general research and commentary, accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date it was published. Search platforms, regulations and markets change quickly, so it is not professional, legal or financial advice for your situation. Please check the facts that matter to you before you act on them.
4. Independence and labelling
Our editorial decisions are our own. Sponsored content, partnerships and any work we do with a business are labelled as such, and never decide what our research finds. How we keep research and commercial work apart is set out in our method.
5. What you send us
When you write to us through Let’s talk, offer a contribution through write for us, or send us anything else, you confirm that it is accurate, that it is yours to share, and that it does not break anyone’s rights or the law.
- Contributions we accept: you keep your copyright and give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to edit, translate, publish and promote them on our site, newsletter and channels, with credit to you.
- Let’s talk: we read every application and reply within two weeks. Choosing the business we work with each month is at our discretion, and sending an application does not create an agreement or an obligation on either side. Any work together is agreed separately, in writing.
We may decline, shorten or remove anything sent to us. We use the personal data in what you send as described in our privacy policy.
6. The newsletter
The Gulf Search Brief is free. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
7. Acceptable use
Please do not use the site in a way that breaks the law, harms other people, interferes with the site or its security, introduces malicious code, tries to reach parts of it that are not public, or pretends to be someone else.
8. Other websites
We link to and embed content from other websites. They have their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for their content or for what happens when you use them.
9. Availability and changes to the site
We work to keep the site available and accurate, but we may update, move or withdraw any part of it, and we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
10. Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, business or data, that arises from using or relying on the site. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Privacy
How we collect and use personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when the site or the law changes, and will change the date at the top when we do. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
14. Contact
